Tom is the President and Founder of Tax Refund Consultants, Inc. He established the firm in 1996 and leads its Dayton office. Tom is licensed as a CPA and an attorney in Ohio. He has over 24 years of tax experience including 12 years with "Big 5" firms. He was a Tax Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. He also has extensive industry experience having spent 3 years in a senior tax position with the Southland Corporation. He concentrates his practice in state and local taxes.

He is the past President of the Dayton Association of Tax Professionals. In addition, Tom is an active member of the Tax Committee of the Dayton Chapter of the Ohio Society of CPAs and served as its chairman for 2 years. Tom has been a member of the Dayton Tooling & Manufacturing Association (DTMA) since 2001. He is also active in the Institute of Management Accountants and recently retired from its Board of Directors. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs, the Ohio Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association.

Tom received his undergraduate accounting (cum laude) degree from the University of Akron. He also received his law degree from the University of Akron. He received his Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M) from the Boston University School of Law.
